Welcome to Elfstrand's Ace Hardware Our Family to Yours Since 2022

Located in the heart of Mitchell, Elfstrand's Ace Hardware is proud to be your hometown destination for hardware, home improvement, lawn and garden, outdoor living, tools, paint, décor, and so much more. Established in 2022 by husband-and-wife team Mitch and Gretchen Elfstrand, our family-owned store was built with one goal in mind: creating a welcoming place where neighbors can find quality products, trusted advice, and friendly faces every time they walk through the door.

With an 18,000-square-foot showroom and a team of 15 dedicated employees, we combine the selection and brands customers expect from Ace Hardware with the personal service only a locally owned business can provide. From everyday home repairs to seasonal projects and outdoor living inspiration, we strive to make every visit helpful, convenient, and enjoyable.

At Elfstrand's Ace Hardware, community comes first. We are proud to be pet friendly, kid friendly, and actively involved in local events throughout the Mitchell area. Whether you're stopping in for supplies, browsing for inspiration, or bringing the family along for the trip, we want everyone to feel at home in our  store.

As part of the Ace Hardware family, we believe in being “The Helpful Place”, offering knowledgeable service, quality products, and genuine care for our customers and community. We’re grateful to serve Mitchell and the surrounding area, and we look forward to helping with your next project, big or small.
